...I did however get a chance to hunt one weekend with one of my brothers and a friend. The birds were there but just not responding to us well. We spotted a group of toms in a plowed field and set up on them. I got impatient not being able to see the birds so I decided to ease down the creek line to figure out where they were. Unfortunately I popped up right on top of them, they were heading for our set. The jig was up so out of the four birds in the group only two got away. Not bad, but had I been more patient my brother could have filled both tags as well. It just goes to show patients is very important anywhere you turkey hunt.
