| Turkey hunting reservations are to individually numbered properties that separate hunters. Our turkey hunting is void of public lands turkey hunter mentality. The first step to making hunt reservations is to do some pre season or at least pre hunt scouting. When a roost is identified each hunter is required to make a reservation right to the number/letter that identifies that lease the hunter wants to hunt. Reservations are not a restrictive measure. No member will ever be denied a hunt. Reservations are the means by which we control hunter pressure ensuring no hunter overlaps with another and that no one lease receives too much hunting pressure during any season. It is by the means of the reservation system we control hunter pressure. The benefit to the member is that he will not be crossing over boot prints of another or competing with another hunter's calls/decoys when out on the leases. baring of course who may be across the property line.
Reservation are by telephone to our offices where a live person will confirm/deny the reservation at the time of making it. reservations may be up to 30 days in advance of the hunt or as late as the day of the hunt. Reservations are taken from Monday through Friday from 9 to 530. During spring turkey season it is very likely all will get their first choice of places to hunt. All reservations are on a first come first served basis with all have the same access to the online map library of leases and telephone reservation system. We do not have any seniority system and while we are friendly to all, the MAHA staff does not have any friendships with any member. As a business and not a hunting club we recognize that parity of service along with the right habitat in the right region of Kansas, Missouri and Iowa will ensure our turkey hunters many return seasons for years to come. Reservation may be changed anytime at no penalty.
