The Mid-America Hunting Association owner/operator, Jon Nee and the partner, John Wenzel, are available to make recommendations to members of where to go for their turkey hunt. Who to talk to will be dependent on where the hunter is traveling to as the two Jo(h)n's divide the lease land workload and each has different amounts of boots on the ground time amongst the the states.

Recommendations are for first year members and those older members traveling to a new region. The intent is to give the self guided hunter a jump start of hunting the right habitat in the right region of Kansas, Missouri or Iowa that has a history of good turkey production.

Recommendations will be based on the map sheets provided on the maps website.

A sample map sheet.

Each map sheet is identified by state, county, unit letter and the property number/letter. For turkey hunting reservations are to individually numbered leases and each hunter hunts alone.

The red boxes identify the acreage within each of the highlighted farms.

The map sheets are direct copies of the state generated maps used by state planners, county sheriff and utilities. They are the best in terms of accuracy and landmarks available for use.

Each map sheet will have a significant land feature easily referenced to a state map, in this case the town of Mound Creek at a major highway intersection.

The maps will get the hunter to the lease and once there we post the roadside boundary with our unique organizational signs.

Do not drive on to the leases all turkey hunting and scouting is by foot. Parallel park along the road step out and hunt.
