Harvested the first morning of the season after being skunked the entire previous season. Hunting from a Double Bull Blind he and Father Jake, called this tom in with a box call. Setting up on an open green field they brought this tom in for a 15 yard shot. At the start of this turkey season Leland asked dad: "After last year do we have to go both days?" Jake's other comments were how nice it was after hunting public lands to turkey hunt Association land with its greater safety value, especially for his family. |
