Other | We are turkey huntersCurrent and future Mid-America Hunting Association staff that covers Kansas, Missouri and Iowa making it possible to give recommendations where to turkey hunt.
Jon Nee the Mid-America Hunting Association owner with a spring season Rio Grande and John Wenzel (below) with an Eastern and their combined year round efforts of being out on the lease land will jump start every new member ensuring they are on productive properties with the right habitat the first season. After that most members develop their favorite areas and return each year not only to hunt spring toms, but also to deer scout in preparation for the coming fall.
Much to the credit of Jon Nee Sr., is Jon Nee Jr. pictured with his first tom from his first self guided hunt after several years training under dad. When Jon Jr. takes over the Association he will do so with a hunting and fishing background starting at the young age of 4 when he was able to land his first fish on his own. Jon Jr. also has several racked bucks, many goose and ducks to his credit as well as seasons of experience hunting over the family's pointer for pheasant and quail. It is hard to beat the experience of growing up from such a young age. After college Jon Jr. will take care of the next generation of hunters.
And, Bruce our wetlands manager. Bruce while a deer, turkey and duck hunter he also drains, plants and cuts the wetlands in the spring. Posts blinds, covers blinds and floods the wetlands in the fall. Two very intensive periods during the year. His turkey hunting seem just to be too easy sometimes.
